BERGEN PHILHARMONIC IN THE US

The Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra tours the US in November. Their concert in Carnegie Hall in New York, was characterized in good terms by the New York Times, describing how the musicians played "with an unusual solidity and warmth, and produced a breadth of color that gave it a distinctive sonic thumbprint".

The tour’s programme features works by Grieg (“Piano Concerto in a-minor”), Sæverud (“Ballad of Revolt”), Knut Vaage (“Catters”), Shostakovich (“Festival Overture and Symphony No. 5”) as well as excerpts from Prokofiev’s “Romeo and Juliet”. The orchestra will be led by renowned conductor Andrew Litton.

The Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra’s US tour features East-Coast performances in NYC, Atlanta, Miami, Wet Palm Beach, Charlotte, Fairfax, Annapolis, Storrs, Brookville, Orlando and Daytona Beach.
